2007-2008 Applications for Scholarship
We now accept applications for scholarship in all academic disciplines at universities nationwide and internationally. US citizenship is not required. Please email us the following: (1) Your full name, (2) address, (3) phone number, (4) resume or academic vita, (5) past or current volunteer work, (6) an essay about your goals and ambitions, and (7) three references. Co-sponsored by the American Film Institute and in association with the Association for Computing Machinery and ACM Computers in Entertainment, IFERS presented the 2006 Annual Scholarship Awards Reception at the AFI in Hollywood, California, on November 4, 2006, with special guest appearance of Quincy Jones and keynote address by Dr. Alan Kay.
3 outstanding students from the UK and Finland received the $15,000 scholarships sponsored by the National University of Singapore Mixed Reality Lab.

Founded in 1947, ACM is a major nonprofit educational organization with over 80,000 members worldwide. Led by Newton Lee, ACM Computers in Entertainment has the support of more than 100 leading professionals and scholars representing major universities, Hollywood studios, and Fortune 500 companies. Many of whom have won the Academy Awards, Emmys, and Grammys.
The one-of-a-kind silent auction included 1-hour individual brainstorming sessions with the legendary and visionary leaders Alan Kay (Viewpoints Research Institute), Seamus Blackley (Creative Artists Agency), and Seymour Papert (MIT Media Lab).
