The Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) believes that education is the key to improving society and advancing humanity.
The Art Institute of Cameroon
Beginning in March 2007, IFERS is helping to create an institute for art students in Douala and other cities in Cameroon. The art institute will be overseen by Sabastiene Berenyny, an award-winning African artist who is internationally known as "Sabastiene" for his work in the mediums of painting and sculpture. The art institute in Cameroon will help bring stability and support to the aspiring artists of the future. IFERS is also co-producing Cameroon motion pictures to promote artistic talent in Africa.
"Bless Our Children...Bless the World"
The world's population of children under 15 is 1.8 billion, and half a billion children live on less than one dollar per day. A child born today in the developing world has a 4 out of 10 chance of living in extreme poverty. More than 70% of child moralities are associated with preventable or curable diseases. (Source: UNICEF 2009)
One cannot help but be deeply moved by these facts, and yet feel so helpless in reaching out to so many in need. IFERS wholeheartedly supports Bless Our Children, an artistic community dedicated to serving the needs of children. By creating an on-line store, Bless Our Children can feature an impressive multiple product line while showcasing our artist's creations. After purchasing a product the customer chooses the children's charity to receive the profits.
Our mission is to utilize the vast talent and human compassion available to create a greater awareness about the plight of at risk children worldwide and at the same time make an impact. Each day we are reminded, and can only imagine, the suffering and the lack of hope young innocents must feel. Bless Our Children offers a way to be a part of a global effort to help our children in need. With your help and support, we can make this dream a reality.
