2008 Models Around the World Fashion Show

Jennifer DeLaRosa IFERS executive produces the 2008 "Models Around the World" men, women, and children's fashion show to provide scholarships for high achieving students in the world as well as the children at the Boys and Girls Club.
2009 - The John Di Lemme Story
An inspirational movie based on a true story

John Di Lemme IFERS executive produces "The John Di Lemme Story" that chronicles a 24-year-old stutterer who dreamed of becoming a world-renowned motivational speaker. Over a seven-year period of hardships, challenges and obstacles, John remained focused on his dream and ultimately reached his goals.
The Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) believes that education is the key to improving society and advancing humanity.

The Art Institute of Cameroon

Sabastiene BerenynyBeginning in March 2007, IFERS is helping to create an institute for art students in Douala and other cities in Cameroon. The art institute will be overseen by Sabastiene Berenyny, an award-winning African artist who is internationally known as "Sabastiene" for his work in the mediums of painting and sculpture. The art institute in Cameroon will help bring stability and support to the aspiring artists of the future. IFERS is also co-producing Cameroon motion pictures to promote artistic talent in Africa.

Educational Publications

Since 2002, IFERS' founder Newton Lee is the founding editor-in-chief of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Computers in Entertainment magazine - a nonprofit educational publication to promote research and development in all aspects of entertainment technology. The magazine has garnered the support of more than 100 leading professionals and scholars representing major universities, Hollywood studios, and Fortune 500 companies. Many of whom have won the Academy Awards, Emmys, and Grammys.

The October 2003 and January 2004 issues of Computers in Entertainment were dedicated to the theme "Educating Children Through Entertainment." It published many research papers and video interviews with Roy E. Disney, Quincy Jones, Alan Kay, George Lucas, and Seymour Papert. Newton Lee has published two novels, a book chapter, and many research papers and magazine articles. Some of his publications are listed online at the DBLP Bibliography Server.

Universities and Conferences

Newton Lee has taught university-level computer courses at the Art Institute of California, Woodbury University, and Virginia Tech. He has also given keynote talks at the MIT School of Engineering, USC School of Engineering, and many renowned international conferences including ACM and IEEE sponsored events in 2006:

  • ACM SIGCHI International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology Hollywood, CA, June 14-16, 2006.
  • IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference Las Vegas, NV, January 7-10, 2006.

    Newton Lee is the founding director of NUS Hollywood Lab and he currently serves on various university advisory boards at the Art Institute of California, Digital Hollywood, UCLA, USC, and Virginia Tech.
