ACM Computers in Entertainment (CIE)

The Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is a California-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to improving society by providing resources to high achieving students, scientific researchers, nonprofits, and educational organizations. We focus on Education, Research, and Scholarships.

IFERS founder and president Newton Lee is the owner of Newton Lee Laboratories, co-founder and director of the Hollywood Lab, founding editor-in-chief of ACM Computers in Entertainment, former Disney producer/engineer, and former Bell Labs researcher.
He has been honored with two community development awards from the California Junior Chamber of Commerce, and four project leadership awards from The Walt Disney Company. He is currently an advisory board member at the Art Institute of California, Digital Hollywood, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech, and educational institutions worldwide.
